SPLASH Play is a well-established, trusted play service for children aged 8-13, offering free, supervised sessions filled with exciting activities. Operating since 2002, originally as Dreamteam, it provides a safe, friendly environment where children can explore new skills, friendships, and creativity.
Sessions include cooking, arts and crafts, trampoline, sports, and outdoor adventure games. Play is essential for children’s development, fostering problem-solving, communication, creativity, flexibility, and teamwork. SPLASH Play follows the Play Principles, ensuring children choose their activities freely while being supported by experienced Level 3 playworkers.
Sessions run five days a week, from Tuesdays to Saturdays, across various locations in Poplar and Limehouse. The project collaborates with local schools, parent groups, and partner organizations, with an average of 95 children attending weekly.
By encouraging active, imaginative, and creative play, SPLASH Play helps children learn, grow, and express themselves in a fun and inclusive environment.
To facilitate children’s play, we provide various activities and programmes throughout the year. Our play provisions offer a safe and friendly environment, allowing children to explore new skills, friendships, and themselves. They are nourished with exciting and creative play activities, following the Play Principles, and are supported by experienced and qualified Level 3 playworkers, giving them opportunities to contribute their ideas.
Our sessions are inclusive and attended by children of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. We operate five play sessions weekly (Tuesday-Saturday), all free of charge, where children are free to come and go and choose their activities. We work in partnership with the local community, schools, parent groups, and play organizations, with an average of 95 children aged 8-13 attending weekly.
